Ostara 2013 Community Celebration

Spring has sprung! Join us for our annual Springtime celebration Saturday March 23rd beginning at 1pm.

We are asking for a $5 donation per person, children under 4 are free. This event is open to the greater community and will take place at Spring Ledge Farms in Hopkinsville, KY.

SCHEDULE:

1:00pm: Arrivals

2:00pm: Egg Hunt (Children)

            Scavenger Hunt (Adults)

3:00pm: Springtime Traditions and Ostara Ritual Preparation with Richard Donovan and Priestess Clark

4:00pm: Ostara Ritual

After Ritual: Egg Divination and Plant/Seed Exchange (to participate you must bring a plant or seeds to exchange)

5:30pm: Potluck Feast

After Potluck: The Story of SOTEC with SOTEC founding members and 5th anniversary party!!!

What to bring:

-Basket or bag to gather eggs in

-Potluck dish (please do not bring items that need to be fully prepared or cooked - reheat only)

-Two flowers or two budding branches (for use during the Ritual)

-Plants or seeds to be blessed during the Ritual(for Ritual)

-Garden tools or representations of Spring projects to be blessed during the Ritual

-Colored or decorated or plastic eggs to donate for the Children's egg hunt (optional)

-Chair or blanket to sit on

-Umbrella and rain gear (just in case- some activities will take place outdoors)

-Additional plants or seeds for the Plant/Seed Exchange  "bring a plant take a plant"
